Today is the 4th of July. It’s a day to celebrate with friends and family. Huge crowds of people will gather in celebration of our great country.
Now, remember there are so many who consider this day a day of torture. They dread the crowds, the family gatherings, the food, the fireworks, the noise of all of it. They dread the lack of understanding from their spouse’s and family members. They torture themselves to avoid disappointing them. They torture themselves as they stay locked away in privacy because they simply can’t do it.
Today. Today have patience with those who suffer with anxiety / mental illness of any kind – those who beg every minute of every day that their torture will stop. Please allow them the dignity of saying ‘no thank you’ once and being respected. They love you the best they know how. Love them as they are.
Today, no miracle is going to cure them. But, keep your hope that some day, somewhere something will help. That something will be easier to see if you don’t get lost in buried in discouragement.
Today is a celebration of freedom. Allow those, without ridicule, to be free to protect their anxious minds and hearts. Your love will go a long way to freeing them.
